Handroll House is the latest concept from Sherif Salib, a local to the East Rutherford area with 10 years of restaurant experience and the owner of the award-winning Butterfish Sushi in Rutherford. Known for his commitment to quality and hospitality, Sherif created Handroll House to offer the community a distinctive sushi experience centered around freshness, precision, and approachability.

To bring that vision to life, Sherif partnered with Chef Jeffry Undiarto, whose culinary background includes experience at the acclaimed two-star Michelin restaurant n/naka in Los Angeles. Together, the pair have developed a concept that blends refined technique with an inviting, neighborhood feel.

Handroll House was created to offer something both elevated and accessible — a space where guests can enjoy expertly prepared hand rolls in a stylish yet welcoming environment. With a strong emphasis on quality ingredients and careful preparation, the restaurant aims to deliver a dining experience that feels both polished and memorable.
